A New Name
What do you think of when you hear the name “Third Place?” Do remember losing a race or wishing you’d come in at the front of the pack? Here’s a new way to think about this name. Students have two primary places where they live their lives: home and school. But the truth is, everyone needs a “third place,” a place to connect with others and to connect with Jesus.
Third Place is where middle school and high school students will be able to:
• Belong
• Become
• Engage in mission
A New Space
We are excited to be creating a new environment in which our youth can gather. We are in the process of redeveloping Room 123 for Third Place (the large room adjacent to the gymnasium), which will make it ideal for our youth ministry to also utilize the gym, kitchen and carpeted overflow area.
A New Model
Third Place will have three main ministry settings:
• Saturday Nights – Third Place will meet the THIRD Saturday night of each month for a high-energy evening of fun and worship from 7-10pm.
• Sunday Mornings – EVERY Sunday morning our middle schoolers and high schoolers will have break out groups that meet during the 10:30 AM service following the praise and worship.
• Throughout the Year Third Place will have camps, fun events and ministry opportunities for students.
Your Place
Do you love middle school and high school students? Would you like to make a difference in the life of teenager? We are building our Third Place Team right now and are looking for those who would help in the following areas:
• Construction & Painting
• Cooking & Hospitality
• Greeting
• Security
• Teaching
• Worship & Musicians
• Tech
• Event Coordination
• Intercession
• Data Processing
• Home Openers
